Can´t leave the beach!

I decided to write something, even though Chris pretty much summed up the last few days. We are totally taking it easy and relaxing these days. In fact, we tried leaving this town 2 days ago, but we end up deciding to stay each morning. We told ourselves that tomorrow we must leave! The evenings get boring as there is not much to do but walk around and I think we have walked the main street here about 500 times. Thats why I am blogging every night!

Well, we decided to take Winston Churchill up on his offer for the boat tour. Chris talked him down to 15 dollars each instead of 25. Good bargaining skills he has I tell you!
We got on the boat and there were 3 others joining us, 2 from Wisconson and 1 girl from Holland.
The crew had a bag full of fish which we couldn´t figure out if it was our lunch or bait for fishing. It was acually both. The boat driver ? captain!? i guess that would be, and another guy started chopping up fish shortly after we got in the water, and throwing it into a big bowl. The guts and skin got thrown overboard and tons of birds came swooping down to eat it. They eventually added onions, green peppers, tomatoes and lots and lots of fresh squeezed lime juice. They were making ceviche for our lunch. Its just marinated raw fish, that ´cooks´in the lime juice. We have seen it on every menu but have been too scared to try it. But after seeing the dirty hands chopping everything up and seeing the bowl sit in the HOT sun for about 3 hours, we figured that it was as good a time as any to try it. Good thing we did, cause it was delicious. Really, it wasn´t even raw anymore as the lime juice did some magic to it.
Anyways, enough about our lunch!
We saw lots of big turtles in the water, and some blue footed boobies (birds!) on a cliff. We did some fishing. No one caught anything, but the Wisconson girl had one on her line, and it was right at the surface of the water and it fell off the line! We did some snorkelling after and like Chris said I thought he was going to drown. He couldn´t breathe properly, but once he got the hang of it he was fine. We saw lots of blue, and yellows. My favorite was a glowing bright blue fish. Really pretty.

The next day we had planned to leave, but ended up just walking around the beach, and reading our books.
Today we were going to leave, but instead caught a bus to a nearby town, just to check out a different beach. We actually missed our stop and got off in the wrong town, so we had some nice cold watermelon and waited for the bus to take us back to the right town. We had a swim, read our books, had some lunch. Very difficult day. We just finished supper now, and had an ice cream sanduche and now I think I feel like watching TV. I found an English channel so hopefully something good will be one.

Maybe next time we write we will actually have something exciting to say!
