Finally!!! I(Laura) have been looking forward to this trip for years! Before I even started to even think about travelling, I have dreamed about going to Africa. We are leaving on February 6th, and flying to Cairo, Egypt where we will spend 2 weeks. On February 20th, we will be off to Nairobi, Kenya via Cairo where we will go an animal safari!!! ( I am so excited, although I don't think reality has sunk in yet!) and then relax on the beach for a few days! Laura flys home on March 5th, and Chris is off to Ethiopia, a place he has always dreamed of going! 2 weeks later he will return home.
So, as we wait for the days to pass by, we are busy getting everything ready for our backpacks, researching safari companies, deciding on the many tombs, pyramids, etc to see in Egypt, and Chris is planning his visit to Ethiopia. The time is going quickly, 22 days to go!

Hey guys, that's awesome you are heading to Africa. I am heading to Egypt and Israel this fall - can't wait to read about your adventures in Egypt.
Have fun!!! Super excited for you and can't wait to see pictures and to hear stories!!!
Hi Globetrotters, I bet you want to know what's going on at the Misericorda! Life as we know it has come to a halt without Laura's stellar leadership abilities. What can I say, we will struggle, but we will persevere knowing that our comrade is atop a very large upset camel. By the way, Abby called me last night and wants to know if she can come and live with me. I told her that she has to have her mummy's permission.
