Hello again... I can imagine my posts are getting quite boring. We are not finding many adventures.....
Yesterday we walked to beach at one end of the island that was supposed to have great snorkeling, or so i thought. It was quite crappy, maybe saw about 5 fish...We decided to stay for a few hours on the beach since they made us pay to use it! It had really nice white sand and beautiful palm trees. They also let us use thier kayaks so we decided to go for a spin out in the ocean! Acually we ended up in some narrow canals, what Chris called mangroves.....(i had a slight fear of a crocodile snapping off my arm, but fortunately that didn´t happen!!!)It was actually super peaceful and we paddled around for about 2 hours or so. On the way back we saw some fish, and a stingray in the water. It was clean and clear blue water. So pretty.
we ended up walking back to town and having supper and heading off to bed early. I had some kind of stomach bug and was sick for the rest of the evening, but it seems to have passed now....
This morning we got up early since we are leaving the island today. I wanted to get a bit more snorkeling in, so after breakfast, Chris went to the room, and I headed off for the 45 minute walk to the great snokeling area we found the other day. I had only been in the water for about 10 minutes when it started to rain, so i jumped out, not worried about me getting wet, but my clothes and everything else. i sat under some shelter for about half and hour and then made my way back to town. I was happy that I saw a lots of fish again though, i felt like I was in a giant aquarium.
I am now just killing time until I meet Chris at one, and hiding from the rain, although it look like it may have stopped.
We are taking the ferry back to the mainland and Chris hopefully will go river rafting tomorrow. I´m not sure if I will go or not.......
I´ll keep you posted!
