Raining rats and frogs!

Haha, tricked you, its not really raining either of those things, but it sure is raining today. Chris is sitting in our room watching satellite TV, i think we have about 4 English movie channels so thats my next stop.
We did our horseback riding trip yesterday morning. It was OK, it was supposed to be 3 hours, but we were only about 2 hours if that. It was nice, we rode past the river and up a small mountain, saw somekind of Mayan ruin (i think it was) and then rode back down. Our guide was a crazy man, and everyone who saw us with him said `loco loco´ meaning ´crazy´.
We decided we would take an afternoon bus to the coast, and figured on about 6 hours of travel. We left around 1 and slowly made it to the next town to transfer buses (which we caught within a matter of about 2 seconds of it leaving and then eventually caught 2 more again, with them just about to leave. The transportation gods were smiling down on us yesterday!
We got here, to Tela, in a total downpour at about 7, we found a room and then found a restaurant that was open. We were totally starving as we caught our buses with no time to spare or no time to get any food. We found a small little resaurant that was open and i ate, for the second time that day (not because i waned to, because thats all there is when everything else is closed), some kind of Honduran specialty, called Beleados. They are a flat tortilla with refried beans and a really strong crumbled cheese in them. I´m not crazy about them, but let me tell you, thats about my only choice when I am hungry, unless I want to eat fried chicken......Chris opted for the chicken and has a stomach ache right now, and figures thats what its from.
I was up most of the night terrified there was a hurricane whipping through as the wind was so strong. The glass was shaking on the windows, and the rain was just pouring down. This morning it is still raining, but I found an internet cafe in a ¨espresso americano¨ restaurant which is a Hondurian type of Starbucks. It was sure nice to have a latte!
We can see the ocean from the balcony of our room and there are HUGE waves. We haven´t even ventured down there yet, since its so cold and rainy. Not sure whats up with us and the Carribean coast, since Cuba was just like this too when we were there...Well, hopefully tomorrow will warm up a bit and dry up some of this rain. We walked through some water in the streets last night that was literally over ankle deep. Yuck. Well, not much else to say, maybe I´ll come back online later and put some horseback riding pictures on here.
See ya later....
