Laura's worst day ever

Pic of me right before leaving home to wait in the airport for hours!

Hey everyone.
No, I'm not in India yet.
Thanks to the Toronto weather I had a few (read MANY) problems....
well, Wpg to Toronto was delayed about 4 hours. Thanks to aunty diane I had some company at the airport.
The flight was 2 1/2 hours and that made me late for my Toronto flight. I raced as fast as possible, possible knocking people down, and got the the gate for TO-London and , It was delayed til 9:00pm, so I had 2 hours to wait. I talked to a woman about my next connecting flights which we decided I would miss, and as that was happening I noticed the flight delayed for another hour.
I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to contact Chris to let him know of my delays so I called my mom who emailed him (who hasn't emailed back as of yet FYI) and as i was doing that my flight was delayed until 10:30. Long story short, we left Toronto at 12:30 in the morning. Everyone was tired/cranky/crabby etc, (passengers/airline staff). We arrived in London at ???. I don't care about time anymore.....
Well, things started looking up a bit ago, I was supposed to go to Bahrain then Bombay. I would have been arriving about 15-20 hours late but I just booked a flight on Jet airways DIRECT to Mumbai. Yay for me!!! All i have to worry about is locating my luggage (good thing for spare underwear in my carry on!)
I have about 8 hours to find a bench and have a nap now.

Unfortunatly the patience Chris told me to pack has been left in Toronto, I'll have to try and find some more here, I have a feeling I will most definatly be needing at at 11:30 AM when I arrive in Mumbai!

Talk to you all soon,
Laura

Hey Laura! It's Jill from the Miz...Just read all of Chris' entries and CRACKED up so many times! Good thing no-ones around as I'm laughing out loud! I'll probably post some comments on his entries, as I'm sure you'll read them all later as souveniers! Hope you meet up with him with no troubles! He DID mention other female tourists, so I hope that means you will be accepted as well...! And you'll be travelling with a man, so hopefully that will help!(I found Egypt creepy-unless we were with men, or saying our husbands were meeting us!)Good thing you're pretty well travelled, so the "less than sanitary" conditions won't freak you out toooo muh! Have fun, and I look forward to reading more!

no problems so far with the "less than sanitary" conditions! Although being a woman it seems like people begging for money or sellling things come to me first, like I'm the one who has more compassion!?? who knows. I'm Having a great time and not missing work at all! Laura
