The last couple days have been spent reading in front of the ocean, eating great meals, and doing the best snorkeling I have ever done! Its amazing really. The coral and fish are all amazing bright colors. Electric blue and yellow and turquoise, red purple! Amazing. I wish I had an underwater camera.
We changed hotels from the one we were originally in and we are now about 25 feet away from the water. Its great. Its way better here, we are much happier, less hassle, nicer people. Way better. much more relaxed atmosphere. We leave for Nairobi on Saturday night, so Saturday morning we will head back to Cairo to catch our flight.
And now, for lack of anything better to say, I will attach a few pictures!
Delicious appetizers we get with our supper all the time, baba ganoush, tanihi, hummus, fresh bread. Mmmm so good!
Chris's fancy supper. I tell you, we are treating ourselves to yummy meals! Highly unlike us! Note the candle in the onion! Nice touch!
We end our meals with sheesa, flavored tobacco in a water pipe-VERY popular here. Men in tea shops all over Egypt smoke this like crazy, I'm guessing theirs isn't fruit flavoured! This one is cherry flavoured!
This one is apple! It actually pretty good.....in small doses!

We are so enjoying your blog. I wish we could be with you just to taste the baba ganoush!!!! The SHEESA, well.......... That picture of you doing whatever it is you are doing with the apple sheesa is one to be kept to show your grandchildren. Whatever has Chris done to you Laura?

That's a big Sheesha for Chris... the first time I tried that, I didn't know I was supposed to take a breath between each time, so I got quite dizzy. I stopped before I fainted, so that was good!
